Photoroom alternatives for small shops
Photoroom is a strong tool, but it isn't the right fit for every shop. Here are five alternatives, what each one costs and who it suits.
3 free images. No card needed.

We make StudioShot Pro, one of the alternatives below, so keep that in mind. Every price comes from the company's own pricing page, checked on 9 October 2026, and is linked so you can check it.
Why people look for a Photoroom alternative
- Commercial use on the free plan: Photoroom's help center says its free plan can't be used commercially, so you can't sell with free images.
- Credits: the AI tools draw from a shared credit pool and each tool costs a different amount, which makes it harder to predict how many AI images a plan gives you.
- 4K: 4K images need the Ultra plan, at €99 a month or €82.50 billed yearly.
- Shopify integration: it starts on the Max plan, not on Pro.
- Language: Photoroom's website isn't available in Greek.
If none of these matter to you, Photoroom is hard to beat on price per export: Pro is €9.99 a month, or €5.99 billed yearly, for 1,000 exports.

1. StudioShot Pro: the shortest workflow
StudioShot Pro does one thing: it turns a phone photo into a studio or lifestyle shot. You pick a scene from a library, and the AI matches the light and shadows. There are no prompts or credits, and you can sell with every image, the 3 free ones included. The site and app are in English and Greek.
Compared with Photoroom you get fewer editing tools and fewer images for the money: Pro is €24 a month for 300 images, against Photoroom Pro's 1,000 exports. What you get instead is a shorter workflow, commercial use from the first free image, and 4K on the €24 Pro plan rather than on a €99 one.
2. Pixelcut: background removal on a budget
Pixelcut's free plan covers limited background removal and upscaling, with no watermark on exports. Pro is US$10 a month (US$8 billed yearly) with unlimited background removal, 600 AI credits, batch editing and a commercial license. It's a good fit if you mainly need clean cut-outs rather than generated scenes.
3. Claid: an API and upscaling
Claid combines AI photoshoots, background removal, upscaling and video in one credit pool. The trial gives 50 credits, Essentials is US$9 a month for 500 credits, and Pro is US$35 for 2,000 credits with 4K and batch processing. Pick it if you want to automate image work through an API.
4. Pebblely: themed backgrounds
Pebblely offers more than 40 background themes and custom prompts. There's no free trial; Lite is US$9 a month for 30 images, Basic US$19 for 200 with bulk generation, and Pro US$39 for 500. It suits sellers who want lots of background styles and are ready to pay from the start. See our StudioShot Pro vs Pebblely comparison.
5. Flair AI: designing scenes by hand
Flair AI is a canvas where you place your product, add props and describe the scene. The free plan includes 5 images; Pro starts at US$8 a month, and Pro+ is US$26 for 80 images with a company commercial license. Choose it if you want to art-direct each image.
