Jewellery designers & sellers
Give every jewellery collection a consistent setting
Create clean catalogue images for your earrings, rings and necklaces, then add gift-themed scenes for campaigns. Start with sharp source photos that show the real finish and details.

Your next launch needs photos, too
Small pieces are hard to photograph. Metal picks up the room around it, chains disappear into clutter and a slight focus error can hide the detail you made by hand. New collections also need a shared visual style across listings, gift campaigns and stockist presentations.
Three ways StudioShot Pro helps
Keep the collection together
Put each photographed piece on a common studio backdrop. Give the catalogue a coherent look while keeping the real metal, stones and construction visible.
Prepare gifting campaigns
Use lifestyle scenes on Pro or Business for supporting campaign images. Reuse a clear source photo in a gift setting for Valentine’s Day or an anniversary promotion.
Organise stockist images
Make consistent product images for wholesale sheets. With Pro or Business, batch-edit photos from the collection, then inspect each piece individually.
Why product images deserve attention
56%
Images were the first stop
In Baymard’s product-page usability testing, 56% of users first explored the product images. This is general ecommerce research, reported in April 2020, rather than a study of this product category or StudioShot Pro.
A styled background cannot replace a focused close-up. Give shoppers separate views of clasps, settings and finishes, especially when those details distinguish your work.
$7bn
Planned US Valentine’s jewellery spending
NRF and Prosper Insights & Analytics projected $7 billion in US jewellery spending for Valentine’s Day 2026. This January 2026 survey measured planned spending, not final sales or handmade jewellery demand alone.
Gifting is a useful campaign occasion to prepare for. A gift scene can support that message; the image still needs to show precisely which piece and packaging the buyer receives.
These figures describe shopping behaviour and market context. They do not measure a sales increase from using StudioShot Pro.
From your phone to your shop
Control focus and reflections
Use diffused light, steady the phone and photograph against a simple background. Take each needed angle and detail view separately.
Pick a quiet setting
Choose a plain studio backdrop for the listing. Reserve lifestyle or gift scenes on Pro or Business for supporting promotional images.
Inspect every small feature
Zoom in on stone count, prongs, chain links, clasps and engraving. Compare with the original, then download a JPG for your shop or catalogue.
Choose a setting for each job
| Image purpose | Suggested setting | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Main listing | Plain studio backdrop | Entire piece and accurate metal colour |
| Gifting campaign | Gift setting | Correct jewellery and included packaging |
| Collection announcement | Shared studio or lifestyle setting | Each piece remains distinguishable |
| Detail image | Simple backdrop, separate close-up source | Stone settings, clasp and engraving stay accurate |
Take a better original, get a better result
- Use a tripod or stable support and tap to focus on the detail you want to show.
- Soften light before shooting reflective metal; harsh glare may already hide details in the source.
- Keep fine chains and earring hooks separated from the background and fully in frame.
- Check stone count, metal tone and engraving carefully. Reject edits that change the design.
A styled scene creates atmosphere; it is not reliable proof of size. Include dimensions in your listing and use a real reference photo for scale. Take a separate source photo for every new angle or close-up, and review the finished image against the original before publishing.

Questions from makers
Can I use a phone for jewellery photography?
Yes, if it can focus sharply on the piece. Use steady support and diffused light. For very small details your phone cannot resolve, a better source photograph is needed before editing.
Will a new background fix reflections?
Do not rely on it to restore detail hidden by glare. Control reflections in the original shot, then check the edited metal finish and stone settings.
Can a scene show the exact size of a ring or necklace?
No. Generated surroundings are not a reliable scale reference. Supply measurements and genuine scale or worn photos alongside the styled image.
Can I show the piece on a person?
This workflow changes the setting around your photographed product. For fit, scale and how a piece hangs, take a real worn photo; do not assume a catalogue source can produce an accurate try-on.
