What size are Vinted photos?
Vinted doesn't publish a recommended photo size or shape, so we looked at how vinted.co.uk shows photos. In October 2026 the catalogue showed every item's first photo in a portrait 2:3 frame, cropping whatever didn't fit, and item pages showed photos at up to 800 px on the long side.
So a portrait photo works best. A square or landscape photo loses its sides in the catalogue, and part of the item can end up cut off.

How to resize photos for Vinted
Add your photos
Open this page on your phone and choose up to 30 photos: the whole item, the back, labels and any flaws.
Pick a portrait size
3:4 for most items, or 2:3 so the catalogue shows the whole photo.
Save and list
On a phone, tap Save or share to put the photos in your gallery, then add them to your listing in the Vinted app.
Fit or fill?
Fill crops the photo to the frame. Use it when the item sits in the middle with space around it, as in a flat lay with room to spare.
Fit keeps the whole photo and adds space above and below or at the sides, coloured to match your photo's edges. On a plain background, a bedsheet or a white wall, it blends in.
Tips for Vinted photos
- Show the whole item in the first photo, and don't use a collage. Vinted asks for both.
- Shoot in daylight rather than lamplight, without flash or filters.
- Use your own photos: Vinted doesn't allow stock or watermarked images.
- Add close-ups of the brand label, the size tag and any flaws, so buyers know exactly what they're getting.
- Keep the item in the middle of the frame with space around it, so no crop can cut it off.
Questions about resizing photos for Vinted
What size should Vinted photos be?
Vinted doesn't set one. A portrait photo works best, because the catalogue shows photos in a portrait frame: 1200 × 1600 px (3:4) or 1200 × 1800 px (2:3).
Why does Vinted crop my photos?
The catalogue shows every item's first photo in the same portrait frame, so square and landscape photos lose their sides. Resize to 2:3 with Fit and the whole photo shows.
How many photos can I add on Vinted?
Up to 20 per listing, according to Vinted's Help Centre.
Does it work on my phone?
