Vinted photo checker

See how Vinted's catalogue will crop your photos before you list, and whether they're big, sharp and bright enough. It works on your phone, and your photos stay on your device.

What the checker looks at

Vinted doesn't publish photo sizes, so we looked at how vinted.co.uk shows photos. In October 2026 the catalogue showed every item's first photo in a portrait 2:3 frame, cropping whatever didn't fit. A square or landscape photo loses its sides there, and part of your item can disappear from the feed.

How to check your Vinted photos

  1. Add your photos

Open this page on your phone and choose up to 10 photos from your gallery.

  2. Read the results

The shaded part of each preview is what the catalogue cuts off. Each check passes or tells you what to improve.

  3. Fix and list

Make photos portrait without cutting off the item with the Vinted photo resizer, then list them in the Vinted app.

What it can't check for you

Vinted's photo advice is mostly about what your photos show, so check these yourself:

  • The first photo shows the whole item, and it isn't a collage.
  • These are your own photos: Vinted doesn't allow stock or watermarked images.
  • The photo was taken in daylight rather than lamplight, without flash or filters.
  • Your photos show the label, the size tag and any flaws.

Questions about checking Vinted photos

Why is part of my photo shaded?

That's what Vinted's catalogue cuts off: it shows first photos in a portrait 2:3 frame. Keep your item inside the clear area, or make the photo 2:3 with the resizer so nothing is cut.

Does Vinted reject small photos?

Vinted doesn't publish a minimum size. 1200 px on the long side is our recommendation, so buyers can zoom in on fabric, labels and flaws.

How does it tell if a photo is blurry?

It measures how crisp the strongest edges in the photo are, such as the outline of the product or the text on a label. In-focus photos have crisp edges somewhere; blurry ones don't. It's a good guide rather than a verdict, so zoom in and look yourself if it flags a photo.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The checker runs in your browser, so your photos never leave your device and there's nothing to sign up for.
