Questions about cropping images
Are my images uploaded?
No. Your browser reads and crops the image on your own device. The tool does not send your photo to a server or store it.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
The cropped image keeps the original pixels without enlarging or shrinking them. PNG preserves those pixels losslessly; JPG and WebP use your chosen quality setting. Transparent areas stay transparent in PNG and WebP, and become white in JPG.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. Choose a photo and move or resize the frame with your finger. You can also enter the crop's position and size in pixels.
What files can I crop?
JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 40 MB and 40 million pixels, subject to your device's available memory. Animated images export as a single still image. Downloaded copies do not retain the original metadata or Content Credentials.
